Location: Interstate-80 makes it a breeze to get to Tahoe Donner. It’s just over 1.5 hours east of Sacramento and only 40 minutes west of Reno. Lake Tahoe’s North Shore is only 20 miles from Truckee along scenic Hwy 89 that travels along the Truckee River. For those folks that are not within driving distance, Truckee can be accessed by three airports; the Reno/Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is just 40 minutes way and the Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is within 90 minutes. Both airports are easy to fly in and out of and they offer direct or connecting flights to all major destinations. The Truckee Tahoe Airport is an easy option for private aircraft.
